This position is responsible for the administration of claims (automobile and general liability, affirmative, environmental and property claims). Conducts thorough investigations and coordinates activities of Company and outside resources (insurance companies, claimants and legal) involved in the process.Essential Functions:**Conducts and coordinates investigations utilizing Company and outside resources as appropriate. Acts as a liaison between the companies and insurance companies, independent adjusters, private investigators and others involved in the process.**Sets and maintains reserves on assigned cases, as appropriate. Recommends settlement strategies and negotiates settlements within specified parameters. Maintains case files and provides reports summarizing investigation activities.**Provides training in the investigative process to those who support the department in its investigations.**Works with in-house and outside legal counsel in the support of legal actions brought by or against the companies.**Represents the companies in regulatory and litigation matters.
