About Ness Murby

Equity strategist, integrative practitioner and relational leader, I partner with people, teams, and organisations to strengthen understanding, build capacity, advance intercultural competence and inclusion, and shape values-led culture where individuals can thrive. I’m an integrative interdisciplinarian with decades of cross-sector experience. I show up whole, connecting clients with holistic, human-centred approaches. I work at the intersections of justice, mental health, social impact, systemic change, and belonging. My practice bridges systems and stories, strategy and care, leadership and agency — bringing together the structural and the relational. Guided by eternal curiosity, my current motto is: ask better questions. I identify as Dad to two incredible kids — a queer, multiply disabled, mixed race, white-presenting trans human (who transitioned later in life), an Australian and an immigrant settler grateful to live, strive and thrive on Coast Salish Territory. I recognise the impacts of colonisation as past, present and ongoing and I commit to truth, reconciliation and decolonising practices within my work and beyond. I bring a lifetime of lived experience educating around and disrupting relational and contextual oppression. At the core of my work is advancing human-centred approaches that address barriers at every level of the system and challenge default culture collaboratively and with accountability.
