About Nevra Atan

In 2009, while pursuing my master’s degree in German and English literature, I began my career as a German as a foreign language instructor. In 2012, at the age of 26, I established my own company. For seven years, I worked as a co-founder and manager at our headquarters in Istanbul, delivering language training in German, English, Turkish for foreigners, and French under the brand Formula Lingua. Our corporate projects, in particular, achieved remarkable success. In 2017, I transitioned into the field of e-learning, collaborating with international companies to expand my expertise in digital education. By 2020, recognizing the need for a full digital transformation during the pandemic, I launched Formula Digital Learning, shifting all of our educational activities online. Around the same time, I founded FL Deutsch, a dedicated platform for learning German. This platform supports individuals and organizations on their German learning journey while also providing job opportunities for numerous instructors. Expanding my entrepreneurial vision internationally, I established Formula Digital Learning in the UK to broaden our academic team and international educational reach. Today, I offer a wide range of services in language training, including German, English, and Turkish for foreigners, as well as recruitment exams and professional development programs. Throughout my career, I have been deeply passionate about my work, often placing it at the center of my life. However, the Covid-19 era offered me a new perspective. I came to believe that digital education promotes equality and is poised to become one of the most impactful sectors of the future. I also realized that the role of educators has evolved; they are no longer merely providers of knowledge, but effective information moderators and motivators who connect with their students on a human level. In today’s world, where information is readily accessible, the educator’s mission must adapt to these changes. This shift in perspective has also taught me the value of nurturing creativity through calm and balance. Alongside my professional endeavors, I now enjoy open-water swimming in the beautiful corners of the Mediterranean, keeping both my mind and spirit refreshed. For me, work is not just a focus—it is a meaningful process of creation, driven by heart and purpose. Through my journey in education and entrepreneurship, I aim to inspire my students and collaborators alike.
