About Nguyen Ly

As a NSTGRO Fellow at NASA and a PhD Candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, I am passionate about advancing the frontiers of aerospace technology and innovation. With over seven years of combined research experience at NASA, Stanford, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I have contributed to furthering the fundamental knowledge and large-scale modeling capabilities of fluid dynamics and energetic systems with direct applications to rocket engines. I have also developed skills in large scale computational modeling, simulation, data analysis, and programming, using tools such as MATLAB, Python, and C++. My core competencies include problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and communication, apply to every challenge and opportunity I encounter. My mission is to use my expertise and skills to create solutions that enhance the performance, safety, and sustainability of aerospace systems and operations. My goal is to become a leader and a mentor in my field, and to inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators.
