About Nia McGregor

I'm currently working at Marion County Sheriff’s Office as a Crime Scene Technician I. I have experience and education in the forensics field. My internship has taught me how to properly collect, package and process evidence. As a Forensics Intern at the Pasco County Sheriff's Department. My job was to shadow Forensic Investigators and learn how to manage latent prints, impression lifts, and DNA swabs. I used an alternative light source(ALS) to help further examine latent prints. I used a Phenolphthalein Presumptive Test on swabs for the presence of hemoglobin. I use the Hexagon OBTI Confirmatory Test to confirm the blood is of human origin. If given this opportunity I’ll bring the best for this position because I am determined to make this my career and learn as much as I can.
