About Niall John

I have Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UNLV. I am most interested in component design and materials testing, but I will consider any job that I am qualified for. I currently work as an engineer for MK Fluidic Systems in Las Vegas where I work with customers to meet their design needs for syringes, valves, and tubing assemblies for use primarily in clinical and medical testing equipment. Design considerations typically include the fluid in question being used, desired life cycle of the parts, material and manufacturing cost, how materials interact with the fluids, and the temperature range for operation. I worked at the Little Shop of Magic from 2009 to 2018 where I was a sales supervisor and organized play manager. The job had me regularly planning and executing on and off-site events that ranged in size from a dozen participants to well over 100. The job also required in-depth product knowledge on hundreds of thousands of different products across hundreds of product lines and dozens of categories and genres. This was in addition to the normal tasks and challenges that come with managing sales associates, including training, discipline, and delegation. I participated in FIRST Robotics for several years in high school as well as advised teams while in college. This experience helped me develop the ability to think on my feet and come up with engineering solutions on the fly.
