About Nicholas Beardsley

Previously: While at Peterbilt, I worked on several large projects while managing daily issues with suppliers, internal systems, and a world class production facility. Developing and supporting primarily the Next Generation Platform products, model 567 and 579, I developed harnessing and integrated electronics for and into the electrical architecture. I either developed or maintained Main Cab, Main Chassis, ABS Chassis, Remote Throttle and Roof Harness while designing numerous small optional harnesses for specific customers or functionality. While at Futurex, I was a Support Engineer and later a Hardware Engineer. Throughout my internship at Futurex, I was responsible for solving technical problems for clients; banks, major retailers, and financial institutions. Some of these problems had “canned” responses while the great majority required research into such areas as PIN pad device protocols, network setup, device configuration, and even regulatory standards. Much of this information was retained within an in-house data base but many times outside research was needed. Later, as a Hardware Engineer I was tasked with finding device specifications, troubleshooting schematics, running tests, building test rigs, recording data, and once to design a power supply. Specialties: Through my experiences in college and in my internship, I have enjoyed many parts of the engineering process. I especially enjoy presentations. It has provided me the opportunity to overcome the fear of public speaking. I was able to do this by always being over prepared, ready to answer any and all questions that might be thrown my way.
