About Nicholas Bero

As Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Officer at 4D Path, I bring extensive experience in intellectual property, business development, technology transactions, and M&A to support the development and commercialization of our QPOR platform. The groundbreaking 4D Path QDPR Platform accurately predicts a patient’s response to cancer treatment from digitized images of a standard H&E-stained biopsy in a way never before possible – fueling future advances in cancer therapeutics. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work across top law firms and Fortune 500 companies, gaining a unique perspective on the intersection of law, technology, and healthcare. Before joining 4D Path, I served as Principal Counsel for M&A, Strategy, Business Development, and Patents at Sanofi, where I was a key legal advisor on digital partnering activities. I also worked as Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at Fresenius Medical Care North America, helping to shape IP strategy for innovative medical technologies. With a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Rochester, I am passionate about bridging legal expertise with scientific advancement to drive meaningful impact in cancer care.
