Background

About Nicholas Bianchi

I’m a finance professional with a strong foundation in investment services, risk management, and data-driven analysis—shaped by diverse experience across financial institutions and higher education. I hold a B.S. in Finance from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, and began my career at Vanguard, where I earned my FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses and developed deep experience across client-facing, operational, and compliance-focused roles. At Vanguard, I worked with retail investors on the trading floor, simplifying abstract investment concepts and executing mutual fund trades. I later moved into the Change of Ownership department, where I specialized in complex estate and beneficiary transitions, in-kind and gifting securities transfers. Utilizing accrued knowledge in this role, I led initiatives that improved regulatory clarity and operational efficiency, and conducted training programs that strengthened new-hire performance. My work in these roles directly contributed to improved call efficiency and cost savings, reduced compliance risk, and higher client satisfaction. I went on to lead UI testing initiatives for Vanguard’s Personal Advisor Services, using my frontline experience to enhance the user experience and coach others in understanding investor needs. Most recently, I served as a Risk Analyst at Stanford University’s Financial Management Services, where I focused on third-party vendor risk, KYC practices, sanctions compliance, and fraud detection—protecting the university from reputational and financial harm through proactive and standardized controls. I’m currently deepening my technical and analytical skill set through ongoing coursework in financial modeling and analysis, Python, Excel, and IB/PE investment fundamentals. I’m excited to bring my operational insight, analytical mindset, and passion for continuous improvement to a financial analyst role.
