About Nicholas Bufinsky

I am an athletic trainer with a passion for people and health. Currently, I have the pleasure of working in my favorite sport with the Florida Everblades. In my time as the head athletic trainer we won a Kelly Cup and made plenty of memories along the way. Outside of work I enjoy outdoor activities, cooking, reading and playing chess at a very intermediate level. Before working with the Everblades, I was the inaugural ATC for the LIU Sharks Men’s Ice Hockey team, and their ATC for three seasons. Starting a program is one thing, doing it in your home county is another, and all during a pandemic is something very unique. More than anything during my time as an athletic trainer, my appreciation to my patients supersedes all. We both grow together and the trust them and their loved ones put in me to take care of them means a lot. The bonds with my patients in sports is something special and is not something I take for granted. “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
