I have over 22 years of experience in dispute advisory services and investigations, principally in cases of fraud, corruption, and corporate collapses. I have been instructed as an expert witness in disputes and complex fraud cases in Australia, the UK, DIFC, and the Dubai Courts. I am also instructed as an expert accountancy witness in Arbitration. My practice focuses principally on complex investigations into financial fraud and on providing expert witness services in criminal and commercial disputes. I provide specialist support to clients in the Middle East region who face complex litigation, investigations, and regulatory scrutiny. I am regularly recognised as one of the leading forensic accountants in the Middle East by the global publication Who’s Who Legal, I am a former principal investigator and expert accountant with the UK’s Serious Fraud Office, where I led financial investigation teams in complex multi-jurisdictional cases. I have been appointed as the Crown’s expert accountant in several serious criminal fraud proceedings, I regularly assist clients with asset recoveries and provide expert reports to support local criminal proceedings in the UAE. I am a specialist in advising on compliance matters concerning anti-corruption legislation, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act (UKBA). I am also regularly appointed to lead regional investigations concerning violations of international sanctions and complex fraud matters.
