About Nicholas Carubia

Selected achievements- Worked on multiple elements of policy projects which have resulted in significant legislative change across Consumer and Business Services (CBS) and SA Health, including research, drafting agreements, stakeholder engagement, process mapping and procurement. Have produced high quality ministerial briefings and correspondence across both roles- Successfully managed the creation of a new intranet for CBS on the Microsoft SharePoint platform, impacting 200 staff, and met tight deadline for implementation. Additionally conducted presentations for senior managers. Separately contributed to the rapid rollout of a cloud-based telephone system (CXOne) within CBS, including training of staff, product testing, and day one staff support, alongside a Project Manager- Created over 53 high quality and detailed end-to-end standard operating procedures with accompanying process maps, in addition to over 38 supporting documents, across 5 different roles at CBS, contributing to ensuring business continuity, training quality, efficiency, and process standards. Nicholas is a policy and project officer with over 4 years of experience in the South Australian public sector across CBS and SA Health. Mr Carubia is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others after seeing the positive changes brought about through well-considered policy, particularly in under-represented sectors. Mr Carubia has developed an understanding of policy development after graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Laws and Arts from the University of Adelaide, achieving competitive grades in both degrees. This included completing two policy review internships for the South Australian MP for Napier and CBS, respectively. Additionally Mr Carubia has developed skills in business continuity via process mapping and improvement, standard operating procedures, and intranet storage of documents. Nicholas prides himself on his ability to work and deliver timely results, whether in policy or project work, or while conducting business improvement tasks.
