About Nicholas Cerny

As a AW-139 Helicopter pilot, I execute civilian helicopter flights to offshore oil and gas facilities within the Gulf of Mexico. Includes the transportation of offshore workers, Hazardous Material, and vital cargo/supplies. As a Nuclear Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, I provided technical specifications for Reactor Servicing work and ensured proper implementation of radiological and environmental controls. Prior to my civilian career, I served for over ten years in the US Navy, where I gained valuable experience in multiple naval aircraft and high-profile leadership positions. I was a Catapult Officer responsible for the launch and recovery of aircraft during carrier air wing flight operations, and a Flight Instructor training the next generation of Naval Aviators on all aspects of rotary-wing flight in the TH-57B/C helicopter flight trainer. I also excelled at multiple ground jobs, including Awards Officer, Administrative Officer, Assistant Operations Officer, and Aircrew Division Officer.
