Dedicated Public Safety Professional | Committed to Training and Mentorship With 20 years of dedicated service as an RCMP Civilian Member, I've had the privilege of evolving through various roles in the field. My journey commenced in 2003 as a Dispatcher, where I began honing essential skills in supervision, management, and leadership. Over the years, my commitment to public safety led me to grow into the role of Dispatch Supervisor, where my focus shifted towards ensuring smooth operations and sharing vital knowledge with my team. This role solidified my passion for effective training and mentorship. In 2021, I embarked on a new chapter as a Computer-Based Systems Training Supervisor, allowing me to unite my technical expertise with my deep commitment to teaching and mentorship. This transition was marked by my dedication to honing essential skills in classroom management, team leadership, and public speaking. I recognized the significance of empowering emerging public safety professionals with the knowledge they needed to excel in their roles. Currently, I hold the position of PRIME-BC Training Committee Chair, a role I've been engaged in for the past 8 months. This new opportunity has ignited my enthusiasm and provided an avenue to further contribute to public safety and training excellence. My extensive experience extends beyond training and mentorship. I also bring a wealth of expertise with Versaterm products, which are indispensable tools for those serving on the front lines and in administrative roles within law enforcement. My familiarity with these systems enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of law enforcement operations. Beyond the professional realm, I recognize the importance of cultivating a personal network with individuals who share similar interests. For me, that means indulging in the thrill of downhill mountain biking. Additionally, I thrive in diverse conversations that encourage exploration of ideas and critical thinking. To stay at the forefront of training methods and strategies, I'm currently pursuing a Provincial Instructors Diploma from Vancouver Community College. This endeavor aligns with my firm belief that knowledge forms the foundation of effective public safety. With an unyielding commitment to public safety, I am dedicated to contributing to the growth and development of public safety professionals.
