About Nicholas Dwyer

Doctor of Cognitive Science with experience in academic research, teaching, sales and digital and print advertising. I have considerable experience researching, interpreting and integrating complex scientific research into a digestible and accurate form. I enjoy the research process and the challenge of outlining and describing a technical topic in a clear, concise and consistent manner. My core academic expertise integrates topics in extended and embodied cognition, enactive cognitive science, ecological psychology, motor skill and the philosophy of cognitive science and mind. My doctoral research focused on the distribution of skill across the actions and bodies of two or more agents, bringing together diverse topics such as sport psychology, human movement science and the recent 4E paradigm in cognitive science. Additional experience gathered during the course of the PhD includes applying modelling techniques in connectionist networks, statistical methods in cutting edge cognitive science research, programming languages such as Scheme and Perl, data collecting and manipulation.
