About Nicholas Dye

There are many differences in the workplace, hiring process, and business formalities between Western and East Asian cultures. My job is helping university students in South Korea understand those differences and be the connection they need to understand western business practices and nail the interviews they have with the American or European company of their dreams. I am Nick Dye, a 23-year-old Oregon State University Business Graduate Alumni, currently living and working at the University of Ulsan in South Korea. I have made it a priority to give current Ulsan University students the best quality advice on creating resumes, cover letters, interview advice, and business etiquette that is possible. I use all the advice I was given when going through my 4 years of learning at OSU to provide a well-rounded quality lesson plan to students here at the University of Ulsan. Along with this I work in the international office helping teach business English terms, etiquette, and general information to staff that work throughout the University. I give presentations, proofread emails, and even host weekly meetings helping Koreans understand English to better communicate with their foreign connections around the globe. My joy in working here is the benefit of helping improve the lives and providing Koreans with a better chance at achieving their dreams to live, work, and/or study abroad. I enjoy using the information and knowledge I have gained from my time at OSU to help and benefit a large amount of students abroad. It feels good to do good things. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring the Korean landscape with my local community hiking group, engaging in weekly discussions with my friends about world politics and news, and sitting down and listening to an intellectually engaging podcast or audiobook.
