I'm Nick, a Cardiovascular Safety Pharmacologist and Statistician with a passion for exploring scientific questions from new angles and identifying thorough explanations using advanced statistical methods. Throughout my training in pharmacology, I taught myself the R coding language and explored multiple statistical techniques for analyzing large sets of pre-clinical ECG data, resulting in the publication of three first-author papers and presentations at seven conferences to both industry and academic audiences. I've also been recognized for my work with 1st Place in the 2021 Experimental Biology Poster Competition and three travel awards. As a skilled statistical analyst and R-coding expert, I excel at method optimization and electrocardiogram analysis, and my scientific writing and presentation skills are top-notch. In addition, I'm passionate about exploring the intersection of NLP AI with scientific and creative pursuits and am skilled in public speaking, research article review and publication, and teaching and mentorship. Currently, I work as a Scientist at Amgen in the Translational & Safety Pharmacology department, and I also bring my expertise in ChatGPT prompt design to the table.
