About Nicholas F.

I help companies and engineers build systems that matter. The solutions I deliver are production-ready, scalable, and built to last. My career has been about more than just writing code: it’s about leading teams, solving complex problems, and turning ambitious ideas into software that works in the real world.Right now at Focused.io, I’m immersed in the next big leap for engineering: AI-powered systems with LangChain. I love showing teams how to go from “where do we even start?” to “we just shipped something that delivers real ROI.” At BITCON 2025, I’ll be sharing that journey in my talk, Zero to AI Hero: Build Your First Multi-Modal LLM Agent with LangChain. Some wins I’m proud of: • Unlocked $3.5M in new ARR for a fintech startup by delivering enterprise-ready platforms from the ground up. • Built high-performing engineering orgs, leading 30+ developers and 6 managers who consistently shipped fast, high-quality products. • Accelerated developer productivity by 36% through workflow modernization and containerized testing.• Transformed brittle legacy systems into scalable platforms by migrating monoliths to Azure microservices. • Increased development velocity by 80% at Focused by embedding Claude-3.5 AI tools into day-to-day engineering. What drives me is growth. I enjoy helping engineers at every stage of their career, from new graduates building confidence to senior leads adopting new practices and tools. I take pride in seeing teams expand their skills, ship faster, and deliver software they are proud of.If you’re curious about AI agents, scaling engineering teams, or want to swap stories about building software that matters, I’d love to connect.
