Multi-faceted experience managing large global teams,$300m+ I.T. budgets and critical technology projects. Served as the European CIO for Goldman Sachs and Global CIO for ING Barings. Has a proven track record of first-class people leadership skills throughout his career. Extensive experience in both the business and I.T. and managing outsourcing relationships, including establishing and running all aspects of Morgan Stanley’s Knowledge Centre in Mumbai. A highly effective change agent, having managed large scale transformation programs at Baring Investment Bank, Morgan Stanley, UBS and Bank of New York Mellon. Repeatedly demonstrates the ability to agree a strategic application vision and translate the vision into successful execution. Adopts a very hands-on approach during all project phases. Has an impressive and distinguished track record of delivering global business and technology solutions to the Trading/Sales, Middle Office, Operations, Risk and Finance functions. The regulatory response to the Credit Crisis resulted in reduced balance sheet limits, increased capital requirements and tighter operating margins. Post 2008, specialized on developing the long-term vision and technology solutions to manage and optimize the usage of funding, collateral, Counterparty/CVA risk, risk weighted assets, balance sheet and capital at both Morgan Stanley and UBS. Led the Equities Technology group globally at UBS Investment Bank, directing two major $100m+ transformation programs within Cash Equities and Equity Derivatives and co-headed the Application Delivery group for UBS Investment Bank. Most recently implemented an IT modernization and resiliency program for Bank of New York Mellon. Now currently playing a hands-on application development role, creating AI-based software tools allowing Bank of New York Mellon to manage a portfolio of bank-wide transformation programs sponsored by the bank’s CEO.
