About Nicholas Goodwin

As a driven engineer with extensive experience in customer-facing roles at Airbus, I've journeyed through the aircraft lifecycle from design and delivery to after-sales support, consistently extracting commercial value for both Airbus and its airline partners. My career at Airbus, spanning Bristol (4 years), Toulouse (8 years), and Madrid (since January 2025), has allowed me to discover my passion for practical engineering, problem-solving, and managing complex interactions under pressure. Currently, I lead the Maintenance Program for the A380 and Widebody fleet, fostering relationships between Airline Operators and Scheduled Maintenance Engineering teams. My previous role as Customer Acceptance and Delivery Manager for single-aisle aircraft honed my skills in managing technical subjects and human dynamics during the manufacture and delivery of A320 aircraft. I joined Airbus in 2010 as an intern, returning in 2012 as a Structures Graduate, specialising as a Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer and using this skill as Lead Stress Engineer for SA Assembly Line and Flight Test (2016-2022). My graduate scheme experience includes Composite Design and Manufacture, Part Design for Flight Test, and in-service/final assembly repairs. I thrive on challenge, task variety, and leveraging my engineering abilities to solve complex problems.
