About Nicholas Jansa

I am a fifth-year Commerce student majoring in Finance at the University of Northern British Columbia, and I currently serve as the Co-Captain of UNBC's JDC West team. In this leadership role, I guide and inspire a talented group of peers as we prepare for competition. My experience with JDC West has been transformative, enhancing my leadership, teamwork, presentation, and analytical skills. In addition to my studies, I have worked as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader for Financial Mathematics for Business and Economics. In this tutoring role, I had the pleasure of tutoring up to 20 students three times a week, fostering their understanding and confidence in mathematical concepts. My background also includes experience as a general sales employee at Cycle Logic, where I honed my customer service and communication skills while performing bike repairs as a certified Shimano T.E.C. bike mechanic. Balancing part-time work with full-time studies has taught me the importance of maintaining a positive, can-do attitude, which motivates both myself and those around me. As I look towards graduation, I am eager to pursue a career as a financial planner, where I can continue to educate and guide clients in understanding their financial needs and developing tailored strategies for success.
