About Nicholas Lawrence

I’m a venue and event operations professional with over a decade of experience managing everything from stadium concerts and arena tours to conventions, trade shows, and corporate events. I currently serve as Director of Event Services for the Spokane Public Facilities District, where I lead the team behind five major venues and help bring hundreds of events to life each year. My background spans both public and private sectors. I’ve managed internal hospitality for Amazon’s Seattle headquarters and developed long-term event strategies for citywide races, national touring acts, and community-facing programs in Spokane. I’ve worked across nearly every layer of the live event experience, starting from hands-on day-of support and moving into senior leadership focused on team development, budget oversight, guest experience, and long-range planning. I’m a proud graduate of Eastern Washington University (Communication Studies), a Venue Management School alum, and a recipient of IAVM’s 30 Under 30 recognition. I also serve on the board for Bloomsday, one of the largest timed road races in the country. What keeps me in this field is the intersection of people, place, and possibility. I believe live events, when done well, create connection, deliver impact, and bring out the best in a community.
