About Nicholas Lazaric

I’m a Finance major at Northern Illinois University (GPA: 3.86) and a Credit Administration Intern at Wintrust. In my current role, I support ACH transaction reporting and collateral tracking, and will soon rotate into commercial banking with exposure to middle-market lending, commercial real estate, and mortgage warehouse financing. I'm driven to break into investment banking, where I can apply my analytical skills, attention to detail, and interest in capital markets. I’m particularly interested in M&A and leveraged finance, and am also exploring opportunities in private credit. On campus, I serve as Treasurer for both the Student Government Association and Sigma Nu Fraternity, managing budgets and funding decisions for a diverse range of student activities and initiatives. I’m also an Analyst for our Student Managed Portfolio, where I conduct equity research and contribute to real investment decisions. I’ve developed proficiency in Python through coursework and self-directed projects, including building a discounted cash flow (DCF) model using Python.
