About Nicholas Lemoine

I graduated with the class of 2013 from Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marine Safety and Environmental Protection. It was under the influence of the regiment that I was able to discover the leader within myself and strove to join leadership roles in MMA. It was not only command and management that was instilled in me at the academy, but also a drive to succeed and the ability to work as part of a team. Out of my 15 years in the workforce, my experience with American Cruise Lines was my opportunity to show my true grit and devotion. On my 28 week contract, I served aboard the river boat Queen of the West as a deckhand. My duties as a deckhand consisted of standing watch, security, maintenance, laundry, and passenger assistance. During this time, several of my captains, first mates, and leaders in ACL HQ witnessed my hard work and recognized my potential. In January of 2020, I was asked to join the corporate team in Guilford as the Marine Operations Assistant. In this role, I was given the opportunity to handle a range of new responsibilities, from data entry and handling invoices, as well as supervising and scheduling crew members across the entire ACL fleet. After my time with ACL, I was able to obtain a job as an Assistant Language Teacher with Interac where I am currently teaching English in Japan. While in Japan, not only was I able to grow as a teacher and trainer, but my experience in interacting with diverse populations has given me in-depth understanding and awareness of differences in both individuals and organizations.
