I am a Senior Project Coordinator of Emergency Services/Patient Navigator/Stroke Committee Coordinator at Ochsner Health, a leading healthcare provider in Louisiana. With over three years of experience in this role, I have developed and managed various projects and initiatives related to the emergency room (ER), working with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.One of my current and longest-running projects is to reduce and halt the spread of HIV and Hepatitis C by performing opt-out testing in our ER for eligible patients and linking out-of-care patients to specialist or primary care. This project aligns with my mission to improve the health and well-being of the communities I serve, and to contribute to the research and innovation in the field of infectious disease prevention. I am also involved in a research study regarding HIV prevention among high-risk patients, where I support the investigators and clinical research coordinators with data collection and analysis. Additionally, I am a Stroke Committee coordinator, in which I assist with the planning and implementation of stroke care for our patients that also meet the standards and guidelines of the American Heart Association and Joint Commission. With a background in healthcare management and hospitality, I bring a unique combination of skills and experience to this role, such as internet software, hiring practices, and handling multiple projects.
