About Nicholas McCarthy

I am currently a research engineer working in Accenture Labs. We focus on A.I. projects across a number of domains, touching topics such as machine learning (both traditional and 'deep'), natural language processing, knowledge representation, and computer vision. I have prior experience working as a researcher in both academia and industry, with a focus on machine learning and image analysis in digital pathology. My skills include: algorithim development, machine learning, computer vision, feature extraction and classification, pattern recognition, data analysis, visualization, and working with very large images. I am comfortable and have experience using a number of programming languages whether in data science (Python, R, Matlab), enterprise software (Java, C++, C#), or web (Javascript, PHP). While most experienced with computer vision applications I also have an interest in language processing, recommender systems, robotics, and finding creative and personal applications of artificial intelligence.
