With an astute understanding of the unique requirements of small to mid-sized businesses, in Nick established TMD Creative, an agency tailored to their needs, offering a comprehensive suite of marketing and design services without the burden of added staff or overhead costs. Nick's journey commenced in the bustling heart of New York City, where he held pivotal roles with iconic institutions such as The American Red Cross and ITT World Communications. Transitioning seamlessly, he navigated the financial sector's intricacies with positions at National Community Bank (Bank of New York) and Bank of Salinas (Community Bank). His expertise then expanded into the agricultural sector, contributing his strategic insights to industry giants like Tanimura & Antle, Naturipe Berry Growers, and D’Arrigo Brothers of California. Across these diverse sectors, he masterfully oversaw branding, marketing, program and product development, research, strategic planning, and advertising. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Marketing from California State University, Fresno in 1984, followed by a Master's degree from Loyola University in September 2006. His commitment to continuous growth led him to the Advanced Management Program at CSU, Fresno, as well as distinguished programs including the Professional Development Academy, Leadership Salinas Valley, Cornell University Agricultural Leadership, and the prestigious California Agricultural Leadership Program. With an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, Nick actively pursues continuing education to stay at the forefront of his profession. Nick's accolades stand as a testament to his dedication. His accomplishments include being a four-time recipient of the produce industry's esteemed Marketing Excellence Award and earning recognition from the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce as Member of the Year and Business of the Year. Now, as the County Communications Director, Nick's extensive experience takes center stage. He spearheads the County's communication program, providing strategic counsel to the Board of Supervisors and the County Administrative Officer. His multifaceted role encompasses formulating, implementing, and evaluating the County's communications strategies, crisis management, community and government relations, and media interactions.
