About Nicholas Perkons

I am an integrated Interventional Radiology resident at Duke University. I study the efficacy of locoregional treatments for the management of gastrointestinal malignancies. I am also interested in developing novel techniques to enhance the practice of Interventional Oncology. I am a graduate of University of Pennsylvania Medical Scientist Training Program, where I completed my PhD with the Penn Image Guided Interventions Lab. My thesis work investigated applications of molecular biology for the rational selection and development of imaging agents that characterize heterogeneity in cancer with a special focus on the use of hyperpolarized magnetic resonance spectroscopy for the study of hepatocellular carcinoma.
