About Nicholas Pospisil

I am a Chicago based Editor and Assistant Editor looking to help production companies through narrative, documentary, and commercial film work. I have shadowed with the Alliance of Documentary Editors (ADE) and has concentrated on post-production during my time as a graduate film student with a particular focus on creating and spreading queer art. I am a graduate from Case Western Reserve University with a Mechanical Engineering degree, but changed careers to film editing. I went to DePaul University and graduated from their Film & Television program with a concentration in Post-Production. While at DePaul, I interned at a local production company, Daily Planet Productions, shadowing the in-house editor on workflow processes. I learned about commercial editing and took that experience out to the professional world as an Assistant Editor while editing short films and trailers for local filmmakers. I also volunteer for Chicago Filmmakers, a local non-profit, editing their filmmaker highlight interviews. All of this has led me to edit educational videos for institutions like 160 Driving Academy and Deep Space Sparkle. So…let’s get editing!
