About Nicholas Pracko

I am a dedicated higher education professional with a strong track record in academic advising, student success, and program management. My experience spans working with first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities, and I am passionate about providing the support, guidance, and resources they need to succeed in their academic and career journeys. At present, I serve as a TRIO Coordinator at Lake Washington Institute of Technology, where I manage a caseload of 100+ students, providing tailored academic advising, career coaching, and support services to help them thrive in STEM and technical programs. I develop and deliver workshops on study skills, career planning, and academic success strategies, while also overseeing a tutoring and support team to foster an inclusive and high-performing learning environment. Previously, I mentored transfer students at New College of Florida, helping them transition smoothly to college life while planning and executing events and workshops designed for their success. I also have extensive experience in disability services and student coaching, where I guided students through academic challenges, developed resources for student growth, and created inclusive, stigma-reducing support groups. My work is driven by a passion for equity, inclusion, and helping students from diverse backgrounds succeed. I am committed to using my skills in program leadership, collaboration to ensure every student has the opportunity to achieve their goals.
