About Nicholas Robichaud

I'm an experienced leader and software engineer in the software as a service (SaaS) space. I spend my day deeply involved in system and software architecture, product management and leading multiple teams of exceptional software engineers. My role as a leader in the software engineering space is to direct the trained professionals among my teams to the critical organizational goals and to enable them to work most productively. I am a firm proponent of people over process and letting my teams self-organize to deliver results to the best of their abilities. My team members are the foundation of all of my work, and they determine the quality and time to market for all products we produce. As an architect, I focus on designing maintainable solutions that my engineers can turn into maintainable products. Ensuring that future maintenance is considered throughout a product's lifecycle can ensure that time to market and stability improve in the late stages of a product's lifespan and allow for decreased maintenance in the late stages. A product built without maintainability in mind can swiftly become more expensive to operate than it was to produce.
