About Nicholas Shaw

As a clinical research associate at Medpace, I independently monitor clinical sites to ensure trials are conducted per protocol and GCP. I develop and maintain site relationships to facilitate effective monitoring and oversight, and contribute to enhanced subject safety and data integrity. I have a strong background in pre-clinical structural biology research, having worked as a student researcher at Harvard Medical School and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. I have developed and applied methods in python, machine learning, and protein production and purification to investigate the structure and function of large protein complexes. I have presented my findings at scientific conferences and received multiple honors, including the Barry Goldwater Scholarship. I am passionate about clinical research and development, and eager to learn and grow in this field. I use critical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills to perform my role as a CRA. I also have personal interests in statistics, biochemistry, and computer science that complement my professional skills and goals.
