About Nichole Boyette

The Level Up and PROPEL program in Loudoun County Public Schools provides STEM learning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to underrepresented populations throughout the middle schools and elementary schools in the county. Working with 10 elementary schools and 6 middle schools, Level Up and PROPEL provides experiences for students that they are unable to get during regular classroom time. I focus on writing curriculum that promotes the student's passion and confidence in the STEM fields, I work with teachers from 16 schools to implement computer science competencies, engineering and design skills, inquiry based learning, and STEM challenges. Previously, I was the Aerospace Educator in Residence joining the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum from Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). I worked with school outreach, field trips, teacher professional development, and public programs. I loved getting to inspire the future generations and empower them to build a life and pursue a future they’re proud of!Before joining the NASM team I worked at Liberty Elementary in LCPS as the Instructional Facilitator of Technology (IFT). There I provided professional development for the staff and developed co-teaching experiences in each K-5 classroom throughout the school. Prior to my IFT career, I taught 4th grade in LCPS and 5th grade in Fairfax County Public Schools.I earned my Master’s in Education from Christopher Newport University and a B.A. in Psychology with a focus in Early Childhood Development. I also serve as a Makerbot Educational Ambassador and am passionate about bringing 3D Printing technologies into the lives of all students.
