As the former owner of a child care facility and a cleaning business, as well as, the General Manager of a busy restaurant I understand the demands of a management role. My experiences include financial performance, hiring, training, developing, motivating and scheduling a staff of 12-25 staff members. Furthermore, I have experience in budgeting for and acquiring materials and supplies necessary for the smooth operation of exciting activities, motivating classrooms, engaging child and adult learners and motivating teachers. I know that flexibility, calm and poise are of the utmost importance in any busy work environment. I have worked in Independent, Public and Parochial settings. I have experience with both special needs and typically developing learners. My experiences include; administration and teaching in communities of just a few dozen students, capacity of 158 children in a licensed child care environment and those of a large urban school district. I have worked in diverse populations of age, ability, economic status and religion. I have been successful at balancing the individual needs and learning styles of students while implementing many different teaching styles and techniques in the classroom. I enjoy sharing ideas, strategies and behavioral management techniques with staff to ease the difficulties of a challenging classroom I have experience and training in curriculum development and a strong background in Early Childhood Education.
