I'm a microbiologist. I look at the science of a device differently because of that. Eventually a drug is going to meet a patient, a person. A body. I work backwards from that point. Some people fall into the medical device field. Not me. I knew I was going to be a product development nerd. From starting my own firm early on, to joining StarFish, making new treatment devices was always the goal. After 20 years, I've worked on 200 projects, have 20+ patents, appeared in 21 (or more) peer-reviewed publications, and helped raised $20 million in non-dilutive funding.
