I spent my early working life as a chef in East Yorkshire and after training at St. James's University Teaching Hospital, Leeds & with the NHS Department of Catering & Dietetics went into NHS Catering Management in West Yorkshire for several years Later, a Lecturer at Hull College, Teaching & Training for 13 years, the last several years as a Senior Lecturer in Professional & Business Development delivering Teacher & Trainer training programmes in addition to Management & Business Development in Industry & Commerce I established Springfield Management Training Ltd in 1995 and have spent the last 19 years working with Owners, Managers and 'sharp end' people in Business and Organisations from 'one person' Micro & Small Businesses through to Global & Multi-National Companies at Workforce, First, Middle and Senior Management levels on a range of training programmes which bring tangible,'bottom-line' value to the business or organisation and I have enjoyed every minute of it I recently chose to spend more time with family and doing 'other stuff' but continue to work professionally for clients who wish me to do so. I am constantly inspired by individuals and teams who actually get things done and who keep an open mind, reflect on their practice, continuously improve and have a finely tuned radar for new opportunities. I would count among my goals; doing lots more of the same,seeing more of the world and enjoying precious time with my family, friends (and garden) Specialties: Being a catalyst for personal development. Helping Supervisors and Team Leaders to gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to get the best from their people and get the job done well in terms of productivity, quality, efficiency and effectiveness.Helping managers to understand that they don't have to do everything themselves. Helping business owners to see opportunities that will benefit the business (and themselves personally) from different angles.
