About Nick Choy

As the Head of Finance at NEXTDC, Australia’s leading independent data centre operator, I’ve had the privilege of being part of an extraordinary journey with an incredible team. From being its first employee prior to its IPO to helping steer the company to the ASX 100 with ~$10 billion in market capitalisation, it's been an amazing ride. Throughout my career with NEXTDC, I have held a broad portfolio of responsibilities, including accounting, audit, financial management, tax, statutory reporting, payroll, financial systems and sustainability assurance. My current focus is leading the Finance function to support NEXTDC's growth plans into new markets. My passion lies in strategic planning, building trust with stakeholders, fostering innovation and enabling sustainable growth. I believe in the power of a clear vision to inspire teams and to guide strategic decisions, ensuring every milestone is a step toward long-term success. I have had the honour of being involved with many of NEXTDC's milestones, each more exciting than the last, and I firmly believe the best is yet to come. One of my core beliefs is that it's critical to have a growth mindset - both personally and professionally. I also believe that the rate of change will continue to accelerate. While the future is uncertain, it is up to us to help shape and create the outcomes.
