About Nick Cook

As a seasoned electrical engineer, I specialize in wiring harness development and electrical integration including design, substantiation, certification, installation oversight, and continued sustainment of the product. Over the past 7+ years, I have accomplished 20+ FAA Part 25 STC electrical systems integration projects in AS9100-compliant environments.I enjoy integration due to the breadth of responsibilities that it offers. In the metered but fast-paced office development environment, I effectively coordinate with both internal and external customers to ensure the product is defined and documented correctly, and with the manufacturer and supply chain to support on-time delivery. In the demanding environment of installation support, I negotiate the dynamic challenges of solving issues in real time and orchestrating customers, suppliers, regulatory representatives, and internal resources to ensure the product installation is accomplished on schedule with the highest quality. I have cultivated skills in interpreting systems and equipment documentation, utilizing maintenance manuals and OEM standard practice (e.g. WDMs, IPCs, SWPM), leveraging industry guidance and specifications (e.g. FAA AC43.13, SAE AS50881, SAE ARP4761), and employing industry-standard 2D and 3D drawing applications like AutoCAD and Solidworks to embody design. I have represented my product in design reviews (PDR, CDR, FDR) and developed projects in concert with a global roster of customers. Since 2015, I have completed 15+ intensive, weeks-long installation support deployments across 5 continents. Departmental accomplishments include originating a process and procedures manual, exercising continuous improvement by updating it when new processes or improvements to existing processes were found, assisting management in identifying and tracking performance metrics, and assisting in preparations for AS9100 audits.
