About Nick Dagres

With over 35 years of experience at Hydro, Inc, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside an organization committed to excellence, innovation, and service. I joined Hydro in 1987 after earning my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, beginning my journey as a shop engineer. Over the years, I’ve held key leadership roles including Engineering Supervisor, Vice President of Operations for HydroAire, and currently serve as President of Hydro, Inc. One of the most rewarding milestones in my career has been building Hydro’s nuclear division from the ground up—now one of the company’s most consistent and profitable business units. I’m passionate about driving operational efficiency, fostering innovation, and supporting the professional development of our team members. These values have shaped a collaborative workplace culture focused on continuous improvement and delivering quality without compromise. I’ve also led efforts to expand Hydro’s global footprint by forming strategic partnerships and opening new markets, all while maintaining a steadfast focus on safety, integrity, and customer satisfaction. As a member of Hydro’s Board of Directors and the Hydraulic Institute, I remain committed to advancing industry standards and strengthening our position as a trusted partner to clients around the world. Let’s connect—I’m always open to discussing how we can create lasting value through engineering excellence and customer-focused solutions.
