About Nick Donohue
I have always been passionate about wildlife and being immersed in the outdoors. I worked as a physiotherapist for years (and enjoyed it!), yet always wanted to do more for 'nature'. In 2019 I undertook a masters in Conservation Management at Edge Hill University to enable a career change. I started volunteering 'formally' in the conservation sector in 2018, though I have decades of informal experience in conservation related activity and working outdoors. I am particularly keen to support the creation / restoration of wildlife habitats at landscape scale and increase landscape connectivity. I love 'losing time' surveying plants and being active in the outdoors such as when climbing, ski-touring, swimming and running. CAREER GOALS Continue to work in habitat restoration and wilding projects towards 'bigger, better, more joined up'. Develop expertise in applied ecology and contribute to landscape-scale change through policy change.
