I'm also interested in #multidisciplinary positions or #GenearlStaff positions. I have masters degrees in music and physics, a BS in electrical engineering, over 20 years experience teaching and as a professional trumpeter. I am equipped to teach in different areas: music technology, jazz studies and improvisation, music business, digital music, advanced trumpet methods, the physics and acoustics of music, music theory and related areas in modern music education. I’ve taught brass methods, jazz improvisation and done many master classes in addition to teaching online on an international scale. I’ve also done seminars on the music business for young musicians just starting their careers and have a reputation as a mentor for musicians trying to break into the music scene around the Chicago area. I’m also a leader in developing the flipped classroom concept using Youtube at New Trier High School and have been teaching trumpet online for over 16 years. I do lectures, clinics and master classes at the high school and college level. Topics range from musical acoustics to advanced methods for trumpet to jazz studies to music technology. I have coached big bands - from junior high to professional level. I have two CD's in print:"No Man Is An Island" & "Junk Yard Brass." Both were recorded in my studio with me acting both as chief engineer & trumpet soloist. My tracks are available on Youtube. My dual background in science/engineering and music has also impacted my work in teaching advanced trumpet methods. I use physics to develop ideas for a better understanding about how to play trumpet.
