About Nick Duffy

I am currently enrolled as a student pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport and Recreation Management at Florida International University (FIU), while also serving as a Sales Growth Specialist (SGS) for SPF Screens & Awnings. As a student at FIU, I have learned how to think critically and grow academically through my engagement in coursework and collaboration with peers and professors. My role as a Sales Consultant at SPF taught me how to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with clients. My goal is to leverage my extensive understanding of our products to deliver tailored sun protection solutions that meet each client’s needs. To date, I have successfully generated sales exceeding $1.7 million while having built meaningful relationships with more than 650 customers. Currently, as a Sales Growth Specialist (SGS), I train and mentor new sales representatives, collaborate with the team to improve performance, and lead initiatives that have significantly enhanced sales results. From June 2024 to June 2025, I trained 64 new sales representatives and lowered turnover from 53.79% to 38.3%. I am seeking to apply these skills and experiences in a future role within Sports Management, particularly in Marketing or Sales, where I can combine my passion for sports with my proven ability to drive results and foster client relationships. I thrive in team-oriented environments and enjoy engaging with new customers and clients. I believe that my collaborative spirit and passion for customer interaction will continue to be a driving force for my success throughout my career.
