And it can be told by anyone. Audio has today a reach that surpasses any other media. It's being listened to on radio receivers and smartphones. Traditional Radio Stations and Podcasters creating great content. I have always been fascinated by the audio media and today it’s more present than ever. When working on a community radio project in Zambia I found that there was a need for audio tools that designed for storytellers. Traditionally audio tools are made for sound engineers or musicians - and they are great tools for them. But audio storytellers have a different focus. They still need the great sound that an audio engineer can produce, but the focus is on the story. While designing the community radio station I was looking for just such a tool. A tool that would be easy to use, reasonably priced and focused on audio storytelling. As it turned out, there was none … - and then Hindenburg was born. This is now ten years ago. Today I am proud to see that we were able to do what we set out to do. We have users all over the world that produce thousands of audio stories every day. Radio producers, podcasters, university students, narrators, children. We are also able to support projects in developing countries and urban storytelling projects.
