About Nick Fail

I am the head of DTE Forensic Accounting Services, which was founded in 1989, and a Director of DTE Business Advisers Limited, which trades as DTE, Chartered Accountants, of which I became a partner in 1995. I have worked as a forensic accountant since 1989 and since then have gained significant experience of reporting and acting as an expert witness. I have extensive experience in personal injury and clinical negligence claims, acting for both Claimants and Defendants, as well as in a Single Joint Expert capacity, with particular expertise in catastrophic and fatal accident cases. In commercial matters my expertise includes acting in loss of profit claims, whether due to breach of contract, business interruption, misrepresentation or an insurable event. I also act in partnership and shareholder dispute cases, including minority prejudice claims and have experience in business disturbance claims in compulsory purchase order cases. My share valuation experience also extends into matrimonial work, often being instructed to prepare reports on the value of a company or business, or an interest therein, together with other financial issues in divorce proceedings.
