About Nick Gommans

Technology leader with 20+ years driving transformation through technical advisory, delivery, and hyperautomation across banking and capital markets. I have led enterprise technology and regulatory programmes with teams of up to 40 and budgets of $6M, enabling organisations to scale through technology advisory, digital transformation, and executive technology leadership. A hands-on technologist, I bridge strategy and execution — translating vision into action, empowering teams, and stepping into the details when needed to close skill gaps or lead by example. I began my career at Infusion (later Avanade), where I built expertise in software delivery, project and line management, pre-sales, vendor negotiations, and technology advisory. After 14 years in consulting, I joined HSBC, holding senior technology leadership roles spanning Finance and Global Operations. I partnered with the CIO of Group Finance to deliver transformation targets for DevOps, cyber controls, innovation, and fintech partnerships, before moving into Global Operations to design and launch the bank-wide Automation at Scale marketplace, establishing enterprise-wide alignment on automation strategy. In mid-2024, I left HSBC to build a technology startup, building on my expertise in automation and AI to create scalable, future-ready solutions.
