About Nick Goring

One of my clients once told me that I wasn’t like other marketing people they'd worked with. “You listen without an ego”, she said. For 30 years I've been responsible for successful strategies and campaigns across a large and diverse client portfolio in a wide range of sectors. From FTSE 100 companies to start-ups. It’s given me an insight not only into what approaches are effective but also how different businesses work. And sometimes, why they don’t. In 2008 I co-founded a marketing agency that helped clients create memorable experiences to build awareness, loyalty and advocacy amongst their audiences. I left the business at the end of 2017, selling my half to the management team. Since then I've been advising clients as both a part-time Marketing Director inside their businesses and as a marketing consultant working on ad hoc projects. Despite the massive changes I've witnessed over my marketing career I still believe that focusing on customer needs and finding a compelling way to tell them why they should choose you over your competitors is critical to your success.
