I have nearly 50 years experience as a geotechnical engineer working for a number of major consultants, I lectured in geotechnics in a civil engineering department and for the some 20 years plus years I was with CGL, first an associate director and then as an owner director. I am a chartered engineer and chartered environmentalist. I have worked on a wide range of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects and have published or contributed to some thirty books, papers and articles. As an Expert Witness I have been instructed on a number of occasions on issues that include foundation movements, retaining structure falures, collapse settlement and foundation failures. Specialties: Foundation engineering,ground movement analysis, soil structure interaction,slope stability analysis,geo-environmental engineering. I have acted as an Expert Witness on more than twenty occasions.
