Nick has over thirty years’ experience in investment banking and capital markets. He has a broad depth of knowledge having worked in front, middle and back offices. Nick specialises in business change and process re-engineering, which enhance efficiencies within workflows and profitability, as well as assisting clients in meeting their regulatory obligations, with current areas of focus being those of collateral, cash / liquidity management and regulatory change. Nick has developed his wide experience across control, financial accounting, trade support, operations, money market trading, and treasury functions. He has been instrumental in designing and implementing tactical and strategic initiatives that have delivered material enhancements to control of processes and to the bottom line. As a business change lead and liquidity manager and against a backdrop of fast-evolving regulatory reform, Nick has developed system and business process enhancements across liquidity and collateral optimization, including business solutions for intraday liquidity, payment netting, the utilisation of unencumbered assets, and enabled most efficient use of those assets through front offices, which included coverage of collateral obligations in a balance sheet efficient manner for cleared and non-cleared OTC derivatives. He has helped or led development in liquidity risk calculation; liquidity reserve requirements based on daily credit usage and cost allocation methodologies. Nick is currently assisting clients meet their regulatory obligations for MiFID II. Nick is an Chartered member of CISI.
