About Nick Pearson

I’m currently based in Tokyo, Japan, working within Amazon.co.jp's Logistics and Supply Chain department (AMZL). As the lead for the Audit Program in Japan and the Rest of World (ROW), I ensure that our Delivery Station teams adhere to standard and best practices. In addition to overseeing these standards locally, I act as a liaison between Japan and global process owners, helping identify improvement opportunities and lead pilot initiatives originating in Japan. My journey with Amazon Japan began as a member of a special task force chosen to launch AMZL operations in Japan. Over the first two years, I focused on training Japanese leadership, creating SOPs and training materials in Japanese, and directly supporting warehouse operations. This foundational experience led to my current role, where I oversee the implementation and ownership of standard work across our facilities. Before relocating to Japan, I managed the dispatch of delivery vehicles in Seattle, WA, ensuring that all packages were processed overnight and dispatched on time. During this time, I gained hands-on experience across various shifts, including night sortation, Same Day delivery, and Return to Station operations. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Production Management Engineer at Cargill Salt in Newark, CA, where I was responsible for project management, process engineering, and operations management in the packaging processes, as well as overseeing bittern waste management. I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, with a minor in Japanese Language. Outside of work, I enjoy weightlifting, video gaming, reading, cycling, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
