Background

About Nick Ritcey

Over a 15-year career in communications and government relations, I’ve helped some of Canada’s most recognized organizations strengthen corporate reputation, navigate complex issues and crises, and influence public policy. At Walmart Canada, I lead public and government affairs across Atlantic Canada (based in Halifax), representing one of the country’s largest retailers with government, media, and community stakeholders. My role spans the full spectrum of corporate affairs, with a focus on protecting brand trust and advancing business priorities. Previously, I directed corporate external communications, including media relations and issues management for the Halifax Regional Municipality, advised clients across Canada at NATIONAL Public Relations, and managed national public relations campaigns at Deloitte Canada. I began my career as a journalist with CTV Atlantic and bring the perspective of both sides of the media landscape.
